My summer class, Photography 1, just finished up. Most of the stuff about actually taking photos was review for me, but critique days were really helpful, and so much fun! Plus, I knew absolutely nothing about film photography and the darkroom before this class. I'm not much of a fan of developing film by hand (I am ridiculously slow at it), but enlarging prints is pretty fun.

I'm definitely still a beginner, and I think I'll mostly stick with digital photography for the convenience. Still, I have lots of new photos from my class, so you can look forward to some new deviations once I get a few things scanned in.

Just a quick note to let y'all know that I'll be out of town for the week. I'll be at a baseball tournament (watching, not playing ) for a while, and then I'll be in Minneapolis. I'm not sure yet how much internet access I'll have, so I might not be able to reply to comments, notes, etc. for a while. In addition, the next 'Fabulous Flowers: Featured!' news article might be late... not sure.

Anyways, I'll be back for sure by next Friday... I really hope I can get online on the 7th; I don't want to miss dA's birthday celebrations!

It will be a biweekly news article devoted to featuring flower photos of all kinds. I would post it here at my journal, but I'm currently not subscribed... maybe I'll have to cough up some cash soon, hmm.

I graduated from high school on Sunday! Gave a speech; didn't mess up too much... and now, I have tons of time to do whatever I want. Expect some new art, coming very soon!
